Design and Implement of Network Management Labs in Virtual Computing Environment

Abstract

This paper presents labs design in an undergraduate network management course. By using virtualization technology, a network infrastructure that includes a set of virtual network devices is created. Totally thirteen labs are designed. The labs include SNMP operations, SNMP packet analysis, SNMP MIB variables access control and polling, traps and informs, remote monitoring, and network management software. Those labs provide students practical experience in the field of network management.
