Case Study Research: Three Model Visual Arts New Media Programs in Canadian Secondary Schools

Abstract
Art educators’ teaching practices are described in three model digital art programs in Canada. Outlined are the ways in which educators involved in these three programs successfully work integrating new technologies with visual arts. The schools, their mandates, and the specialized visual arts programs are delineated. Examined are “best practices” of visual arts educators. Common approaches educators utilize in the three secondary schools will be discussed which make these specific high school art education virtual programs successful.
